I am a new writer and I'd like to know how some smut writers write their smut to be honest I thought it'd be good to put it out there to do and get feed back on how smutty our smut should be also to get feedback on places to put smut where it shouldn't even belong to obstruct the actual plot, I also just want more smut to read as well.
I normally put smut between characters that I try to make obvious that they have sexual attraction to each other or at the very least enjoy the idea of sex and I don't just jump it to the shit, I know some may like that and write that but I at least want some form of reality in my basically porn with a plot.
Also I've seen some do this but sometimes peeps forget what a setting is exactly like you know forgetting an plot with unresolved issues are arising but somehow they can make sometime for sex, so I try to be mindful of where I'm dumping my sex scenes and to which character I'm dumping them onto and how the sex scene will progress with a little sensual flirting for the non romantic character relationships and lovey dovey talk and body language for the characters in a romantic relationship.
Also put a link to your works if you are making one I'd love to check them out

Uh, the best smut is when there is a build-up to it imo. Like sex will bring you views, but the plot is what will make people stay. And that is the most important part of any story. I also like to write sex for the character themselves, not the readers. So, the emotion of being with that other person will always be there. Don't forget, plain sex is dull. Romantic, no hot-blooded romantic, sex is the best. The intimacy between characters is key, let it be multiple or one. *This goes for what I write and what I like to read.*

Well, this is my outtake at least. Everyone is different. :blob_aww: Write what you like, and someone will like it too. *Ps Don't cut chapters while in a sex scene. That is plain frustrating!*

When writing any story with smut you have to ask yourself what type of book ur writing, who you're marketing it to, and what you're readers wanna see. If you're main audience are 'men of culture' who want some variety p0rn (like mine are) then u will have smut often, at regular intervals, and the only flirting being a blowjob.
If you're writing a drama novel based around a harem, you'll write smut where it will be the most dramatic and arousing for the reader - (what's stepbro doing mommy?) 0_0
If you're writing a novel with more of a plot based/romance themed writing style then you'll add smut that enhances character development, (after a long, long battle and a heartfelt convo the hero finally has some loving sex with the princess.) Or (the virgin hero is seduced and manipulated via sex).
Obviously I'm by no means an amazing author, especially when it comes to things like a 'plot' (whatssat?). Is your world a place where sex is commonplace or do you need to date before hand? Why are they having sex? Who's having sex? Is it natural at this point in time?

What does my reader want to see?
