Exactly. Lived in 48/50 of the states and have never heard that as a form of slang. Now, I have heard people make a sound similar to Oum to mimic meditation chants. I don't know about the Brits or other native speaking countries.

Oum happens when my toddler practices sounds. It may or may not have a meaning other than experimentation.
