Siscon, brocon, lolicon ..., and the other complex

So, I read a story where the MC has an intimate relationship with his sisters and mother. Some tags such as incest, sister complex, brother complex, and the likes are added. But this raises a question in my head that is rather slow to process excess information.

In the essence of a story, what is (x)-complex?

I know there are some old stories that bring this up, like the tragedy of Oedipus. Then there is also folklore in my country called Sangkuriang.

Sangkuriang is a legend among Sundanese people in Indonesia. The legend tells about the creation of Lake Bandung, Mount Tangkuban Parahu, Mount Burangrang, and Mount Bukit Tunggul. The legend of Sangkuriang tells the story of a young man who falls in love with his own mother, which is somewhat comparable to the Greek tragedy Oedipus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sangkuriang

In that story, Oedipus or even Dayang Sumbi(the female main of the Sangkuriang), feels that it's wrong to be with his mother(or her son if we take Dayang Sumbi as an example). It's against the order of nature and the universe.

We know some examples of the said complexes, I know some because of the influence of Japanese anime. Sister complex, brother complex, lolita complex, parents complex, or anything that should be a taboo and condemned by society. That somehow become moe in anime and manga.

But why is it complex? I mean, yes ..., in the real world those are considered as something that is not usual. And probably some component of the society will hunt you down because of it. I'm talking in the story-wise here.

Why when the two of the said complex, let's say ..., for e.g, the MC has a beautiful and sexy mother who is a widow, he loves her deeply while the mother also feels the same. They f*cked and consented with the act, and they didn't feel anything weird about it. And in the place they are living, the society found it's not unusual at all. In fact, this tradition is widespread among them.

Why it's called (x)-complex when there's nothing contradictory with anything they did?
They are fine with what they did, and the others also found there's nothing wrong with it. Can this still be called a complex?

Please let me know your thoughts about this, I want to know the deep meaning of life by researching this topic.

P.S. I'm not talking about real-world issues, so please don't bring me a real-world example.

We label stories from an outside perspective and apply standards to them.

Because if we would follow your logic, the genre "fantasy" wouldn't exist as what we perceive as fantasy is the status quo within the stories' frame of reference.

But that is not the case. We evaluate stories as an exterior observer, well aware that they are ultimately the product of our fiction.

It's like answering the core problem. Why didn't I think of that, I wonder.

In order to shed light to this (my personal view anyway). we should first define the word Complex. I have searched for it and found the definition that would definitely fit the context at https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/complex

b(1) : a group of repressed desires and memories that exerts a dominating influence upon the personality
e.g. a guilt complex or in this discussion's context Brother Complex or Oedipus Complex

by definition hare would mean that the two individual who even though had consensual relationship (incestuous) knew that what they are doing is completely wrong in the societal point of view yet feels that their love for each other is just right creating a web of conflicting repressed emotions. and desires

complex as in 'mental complex' rather then as in 'complicated'.
