Should I keep on lying about my credentials in survey sites?

It doesn't matter who I pretend to be, they will always tell me at the end of the survey that I don't match their demographic needs or 'there are no more spots on this survey'
Capitalism will always be too demanding of someone’s status, tbh.

Afirmitive, i can agree to this. My plan of infiltration has been succesfull so far, no other user was able to detect my lies(except for a small few but they will be dealt with)

The rewards for the survey aren't worth my time usually. I've had to sit and answer 30-40 minute survey's before and eventually I realized it was eating up a large chunk of my free time.

Now I waste a lot of my free time on this forum.

You should keep your credentials secret against stranger, not until it's legally required. It didn't matter when online or offline.

There's no reason to state your actual age, sex, status, or life condition against someone you doesn't know.

It's not that I advice to falsifying your own identity at every time you can, but there's almost no real benefit for telling your real identity to strangers in the Internet.

Only when you can trust the other party won't harm you, or you already know them before using the internet, that you can tell your credentials. Or, when you know you can gain some kind of status, connection, or previleges that you may actually show your real identity.

But even that is doubtful at best. Even in the internet group that require real name (like : communities, forums, discord server, etc.) I would prefer to keep using my fake name and credentials and hide my real identity.

Ofc, that won't be helpful when you should do real-life meetup one day. But There are no instances where my real name is required when meeting face-to-face in real life, just some gender and age credentials would be necessary.

Real name will only be needed when doing transactions that require official ID card and some sign the agreement for the sale of goods. But, even if you're going to buy real goods, you can just buy it at their online store for that. Or, if it something of value (like car, house, industrial equipment, etc.), You can approach them as-person without telling what is your account inside the forum/community/server.

Even if they know I'm not saying my real identity, they will just joke about it; there Will be insider jokes meme about my faking identity, but that's about it. There won't be real negative repercussions unless I do some illegal stealing or scam, oe I've betrayed the feeling of someone that stuck up to the online group rules. Nobody will ever gave me legal threat if I'm not showing my real identity in place that doesn't have legal power to require so.

But yeah, all of those things were just my personal opinion.

TL;DR : Don't be guilty when you're not telling your real identity, not when they don't need it that much.
