Hello. I am currently writing a story already, but I have a lot of ideas for other stories. So I thought why not share them. Maybe someday I will take a break from the current one and give a shot to one of those. Obviously those ideas are not finished and may lack parts. Also, I am not sure if this should be rather posted in Author General or Discussions, so if you think it better fits to another one, let me know pls.
Story name: God Left Us (May get changed but that's the best I could come up with)
Setting: Modern world.
Genre: fantasy or supernatural (i am not sure which one fits better) and smut (probably, and why not)
Exposition/World plot: In a year 2020, humans managed to create a stable portal to Heaven and then to Hell. In Heaven, humans find city inhibited by angels and a few other living beings. Angels explain that not long ago, God disappeared suddenly, and no one saw how or when exactly. In Hell, humans find demons and monsters. Inhibitants of Hell attacked humans but human technology and weapon are unable to harm them. With help of angels, humans created weapons that could harm demons and pills that made demons harmless. That started a two years war of conquering Hell. Many demons were killed or enslaved and brought to Earth. With time, some of the angels started to become corrupted. There was no more God's pressence to watch over and control them and many of angels went rogue and crazy. To help fight back, angels that were still uncorrupted helped to develop another pill, one that made angels weak and mostly harmless. Normal angels took the pill willingly, afraid of losing sanity and getting corrupted. Humanity created a military force - Otherworld Species Control, OSC for short. OSC's mission was to hunt corrupted angels or demons that were unpilled and hid around.
Spiecies:
- Humans: Just normal people, not too different from ones in the real world.
- Angels: By 2026 year, all angels were either pilled (often named 'pure') or corrupted. By nature, Angels are humanoid but small wings on their back, covered white and yellow light and feathers. All of them can use magic, mostly used to heal others. After being pilled, their magic disappears, same as light from wings. With that, they can no longer fly. Pilled angels are not much different from humans, main difference is that they have wings. Also, Angelic society is divided into different casts (angels, archangels etc). Depending on their morality, some of the angels don't eat meat.
- Heavenspawn (name will be probably changed later): Various living beings natural to Heaven (biblically acurate angels? and more) but with animal-like mind.
- Corrupted Angels: Angels who tasted freedom. Realizing there is no more God to judge and control them, those angels went crazy. They often prey on humans and demons and eat them, can even attack pure angels and try to persuade them to become corrupted as well. They mostly hide in dark corners of the cities like abandoned houses or try to stay away from cities, living in the mounains or wild forests. They often group together to help survive. Their appearance usually changes dramatically.
- Demons: Mostly humanoid but can be monsters with mind and consciousness. They can use magic, it's type depends on their sub-spiecies. After being pilled, they lose all magic powers. Some of the demons are still in the wild, unpilled and dangerous. Most demons are pilled though.
- Hellspawn (name will be probably changed later): Various living beings natural to Hell (monsters) but with animal-like mind.
Places:
- Earth: With the new events, most countries formed rules and OSC to maintain some kind of stability.
- Heaven: City built on the cloud. Buildings are made out of Heavenstone (name will be probably changed later), material that looks like lightgrey stone bricks but is way more durable. Neither Heavenstone and cloud can be destroyed by human technologies. Cloud is white and solid. In Heaven, there is no night or day, only yellowish while sky. The cloud have soft edges and goes down into infinity, like a pillar.
- Hell: Demons live in mediaval-like times and monarchy, whole Hell ruled by Demon King. Hell is plantet-like sphear. The sky is red at day and dark orange at night, there is no clouds, Sun, stars or moon. Day and night are 31 hours each (may delete this idea later). Basically hell is not different from Earth if you think about fantasy mediaval world, except that there is no humans or normal, other races, only demons and their species. There are forests, mountains etc. Demons considered humans nothing more than a fairytale for kids. Demons are used to rely on their magic, so after being pilled they often loose all will to resist.
Society:
- After Hell was conquered and demons enslaved, demon slavery was normalized. Despite that, there are people against it and those who try to either free demons or are for genocide (mainly church). Demons are mainly used for work for or as sex slaves. Demons are usually not cheap, but their price depends on the individual demon.
- Before angels started to turn corrupt, they were admired and liked by humans. Who wouldn't love being healed, when normal medicine was helpless? But after the corruption cases started, most people became afraid of angels. Even after being pilled, they are still disliked by humans. But in most cases, people would prefer angels than demons. Pilled and essentially enslaved angels are rarely used for work and mainly are owned by important people or lucky ones who managed to befriend an angel before they got pilled.
- (pilled) Demons hate angels and peole, while angels hate demons but mostly are tolerant to humans. Angels realize the danger of being unpilled and mostof them accepts it.
- pilled angels CAN tun corrupted, but without any powers are not more harmful than a normal, agressive human.
Actual story: And here is the main issue. I have no Mc for now and no story for that Mc.
- One idea is to have demon mc, watching as the world they knew collapses becouse of unexplainable events. Mc would try to fight back but unsuccesfully, and then forcefully pilled and enslaved. But what then?
- Second option would be human POV. Maybe at first Mc would hate demons (and maybe angels too), but after some time spent close with a demon (for whatever reasons), Mc would realize that demons are not so different from humans. And again, what next? Fight for demon rights and freeing demons? Idk, sounds meh and boring to me.
