Another good novel site takes a dirt nap. They were supposed to rise from the dead and become something new, but instead they seem to be offline, for far longer than planned. They might not be coming back from this one...

Well, when your operation is geared towards business but you have no business, there's really no way up. It's the same with sanastories too. Ai-chan was almost ready to publish an interactive story there before it sputtered out and died. It didn't exist for even a year. It seems like Austrians don't know how to run novel-hosting sites. Oh wait, sanastories is from finland. There is another webstory site from Austria, Ai-chan can't remember the name.

Anything EU based will be killed by the local tax system (unless it’s Irland)

Time to remove it from my list. It wasn't that good from what little research I did but I'm sure it will be missed.
Ritoria is also basically dead. It is still up but the mods, owners, and pretty much all the author's have left from what I can tell. Forums are a ghost town and have been for weeks.

Hm, small update. As of right now, the site is back (though crippled in some fashion.) What was already said may still be true though. Far as I can tell they are entirely crowd funded. I'm still curious to see if or when their site transition happens and what it will all look like.
Feature-wise, it will be similar to Ritoria in the beginning, if they do launch the new server.
