Hiya, I'm sure I could use fiverr but I'd rather check here first. I like the community.

I'm looking to add an illustration for my chapters, currently I've just got two out right now and I'm finishing up chapter 3, but of course I have a specific style in mind. I own a LOT of old books, and in many of them you'll find black & white, sketch-style scenes/portraits, like the ones below (Moby Dick, To Build A Fire, and Persuasion), and I'm hoping to find someone that can replicate this old style. Definitely no AI.

Currently I can afford $50 per piece, so $100 for the two chapters. Thanks, let me know!

Ah, I already included it in my first post. Those are pencil sketches; I only used a few additional filters in Photoshop to enhance the 'old sepia' style color of the work. Though, I think that to achieve those old-school novel in-chaps, it's good to use a technical pen, mixed with pencils, to bring out the lines.

They're cute! If you think you can do a scene without any of the anime or manga influence then that'd be perfect, I'll DM you!

I don't do exactly that style, but I can work with pencils and graphite powder and perhaps something like this would be close enough for the vibes you are looking for?

It's really good and pretty close but I think I'm looking for more towards realism. Thanks for responding!
