Request For Feedback - ODNT

Howdy, folks. I have a story up that I'm looking for feedback on. I just finished my Creative Writing degree and have been inspired to write something with the goal of publishing. However, beyond my wife saying "It's good," I have a hard time finding anyone who will actually give me constructive feedback. Is the premise interesting? Is the pacing off? Do the descriptions make sense, or no? Anything helps, and I'd like some opinions to take into consideration if anyone is willing.

The story is Old Dog, New Tricks, an isekai high-fantasy tale about an old, retired Marine transported to a world he doesn't understand, strange magic that defies logic, political power plays, and beasts that immediately try to kill him.

May have to read this if I have time (working two jobs and trying to write does not leave a lot of time to read)
