Yeah in comedy you can definitely see descriptions being a bit weird or wacky like that. I remember writing writing similar things myself.Umu, also depends on the writing style and the atmosphere you want to create. Since I am a comedy writer, I write it like that
Problem is I been writing comedy so long it's kinda hard to get back to writing seriously.
Like fight scenes for example. I could be going for a tense atmosphere but end up kinda going back to writing more comedically. Not overtly, maybe, but it doesnt have the heavy feel wouldve liked. And it's not that I cant, it's just a habit that's tough to break. I sometimes wonder if other writers get stuck like that. You knowz absorbed into their main genre, hard to branch out.
Like I mean I dont think anyone could picture Stephen King to write a comedy or romance. Maybe he COULD, I dunno, but it's just not something you can picture in your head with any seriousness.
