A "reading mode" where you can mark where you left off in a chapter. Unless this option already exists and I'm not aware of it.

Edit: this refers to the main site, not to the forum, so any mod feel free to move this.

Edit 02: So what exactly am I asking? Not the typical "reading mode" of any known browser. More like that feature in reading apps which allow readers to open any number of books they want and, whenever they open that book again, they are taken straight to the part where they left off. So, for instance, if you are reading 10 books here simultaneously, you can always be sure you'll never forget what you read last, because the system automatically reminds you where you stopped.

As it currently is, the reader is always back at the beginning of the chapter. Not that it makes it impossible to remember where you left off. It would just make the reader's experience better.

Chapters are relatively short - I don't know how much that feature would be used.
I would definitely use it because I read ten different things at the same time and I like to read them at my own pace.

Depends on the story, and what you consider short. A lot of stories here have 1,000-2,000 words chapters, but there are also stories with 4,000+ words per chapter, and they're not rare.
In the former case, most people will not need a bookmark inside the chapter (though some already consider that long), but I can see how it would be useful in the latter case, even if I never really desired the feature myself.
I don't think this is necessary. All modern browsers have built-in reading mode for text only. This depends what browser you are using right now. All of them are called differently.
While I do know Firefox and Edge specifically (and likely all Chromium-based browsers) have a reading mode, I have never seen the option to bookmark a specific point of the text to easily find it later, which appears to be the main point of this suggestion.

For the question of marking the chapter in the book. You can do that by checking the small square box on left side of the Chapter' name in the current book you are reading.
You can also set it to auto update after X amount of time in your reading list settings too.

Since all question of this thread are answered.

Mod @Enkiari if you please close this thread, before another tried to stray further from the main topic.

If you want a feature added into scribble hub, please create a new thread in the 'Feature Requests'. From there, you can have a different discussion of the topic feature.
Normally, that is done at the OP's request. I think. I remember reading that's how it worked here.

I'm sorry, but in the top said is about marking the chapter last read in the book. If you want that feature allows marking on the text you like in a chapter of a certain book, not in this thread thank you. Because that is a entirely different topic from @Max02 said in above:
Please read the question again.
...where you can mark where you left off in a chapter.
Not the last read chapter in a story, but where you left off inside that chapter.

Precisely.
You always end up at the beginning of the chapter over and over again.

I was asking if the admin could add a feature typical of reading apps, where no matter how many books you open, it always takes you straight to where you left off.

I don't know why or how that wasn't clear enough.

I know of Wattpad, I'm making a suggestion to make SH more complete, a standalone experience.

Simple; you didn't explain it enough. A "reading mode" can be interpreted differently, and SH has one of those interpretations in place already.
You need to be precise when suggesting new functionality. Precise enough to avoid any possible misunderstanding, not dropping a one-liner.
Go edit your first post and explain the functionality properly; what it is, why it should be added, and how exactly it should work. The more you include, the better.

Your post itself was clear enough (or clear enough for my understanding, at least), but the title - and perhaps calling it "reading mode" in general - was somewhat misleading, drawing connection to the aforementioned browser reading mode, rather than an in-chapter bookmark.
