So, I found a book on how to keep focused and work even when you don't want to, and I figured something out. By reading it, I was procrastinating...
After an hour of reading, I placed the book down and began writing. I wrote a chapter and now have the motivation to write more, which is better than yesterday, when writing even a single chapter was a chore. Now, I have two chapters and I need to write seven more to finish both today and yesterday's daily quota.
Wish me luck.

Great, and don't think of this as a list of to-do or else it will start becoming a chore instead of a fun activity. Maybe give yourself rewards or challenges for each chapter and not written respectively.

Challenges are good, but rewards can trick your brain into losing its intrinsic motivation:

My head hurts. Ok, maybe 7k words are ok for a day. 2k over my daily quota. If I squeeze in 7k tomorrow and 6k on Monday, I can get my missed quota fixed. Annie and the Rice Quest now has twelve chapters, I have 8 as backlog. I do hope I can finish it at the twenty-day mark.
