If I get the idea right, Quick Transmigration is like, when the MC takes over a character, finish a main quest before hopping to the next world.
So I was thinking--what if it was treated as a Speedrun contest? Instead of a 100% or perfect / good completion, the MC strives to accomplish the goals as fast as possible, even employing sickening glitches or things that went beyond common sense.
I feel it would be so damn hilarious if the MC managed to find kill the main villain when the System just began the introduction.
While it's not really QT, I think one example of it would be on FFF-Class Trash Hero. Where the MC went straight to the Demon King's castle and beat them before the System could grade his 'Character'.
My favorite thing about this idea isn't about making the perfect speedrun, but a normal attempt while learning the ropes. The MC can fail and there's no penalty for doing so, just go wild and explore. If they want, they can also restart the same scenario for the perfect run. The rewards they get will only as high as their fastest record.
The rewards might be something from that world, like an artifact, item, or powers for example. if it's like real life, probably some guns or tank.
To make it fun, the rewards probably shouldn't make the Speedrunning a cakewalk and brainless, like its beyond the power-level of that world. Or if there's any, make it like an alternative, and limit the usage if the world had weaker-power level.
but if you like it, feel free to do so.
As for the main character's motivation to keep Speedrunning and its conclusion, I'll just leave it to each Author.
While I feel it's a non-serious idea, just for laughs, I have a few questions.
If you're trying to write such story, what kind of things you want to research and how much do you need?
Will you also reference a similar Quick Transmigration novel? If so, can you name the titles?
Any suggestion on how to make the Speedrun concept better? Personally I don't like it when the Speedrun takes too long, like tens of chapters or 10k words or more for each world. That's also why I don't watch speedrun vids longer than 30 min.
.But yeah, if you have any ideas, feel free to comment.
