I have "tried" to partake in NaNoWriMo for 2 years now and haven't gotten very far, maybe 10k words if I'm being overly generous, before throwing in the towel. I have enlisted and await job placement and shipment to basic training. I would like to complete a NaNoWriMo-esque (50k in 30 day) challenge before then and want to try positive reinforcement to keep the drive to completion.

It might be in poor taste, but do you think this is a good site for such a thing or would you recommend a different one?

Thank you for your time.

Scribblehub is on average (if you have engagement at all) a lot more supportive than Royal Road, so positive reinforcement might be present here.

However, ultimately, no one but youself can cause you to sustain the motivation required to write that much.

Of the sites I have stories posted to, I get the most reader feedback and interaction here. However, they are also demanding beggars who want you to write until your fingers bleed! In your case, that might be a good thing, though!

I love me some authors with bleeding fingers. If your fingers don't require gauze by the end of the day are you even doing your job?
