Question: Do I just update my existing book for remaster or publish an entirely new book?

I am doing a remaster of my story that I'm publishing.

I'm added some new scenes and enriched the dialogue, rearranged the sequence of the events, but the core of the story remains the same.

When I'm ready, should I create a new book for it? Or just update my existing book?

What i did when i added scenes was i, in the titles themselves, put "chapter x (rewritten as of x) and ad the date then in the new chapters i just published i leave a short note telling readers about the added scenes in previous chapters and told them to check it out if they want.

You CAN republish it later in a wholly new updated volume but i suggest actually FINISHING the current volume first because if youstart a new one you may not necessarily have the same readerbase, views, comments, ect and i like the idea of having that. Its not worth it unless you're publishing under a whole different website in my opinion

If you're simply editing (e.g., making scene descriptions more immersive, adding details, etc.), there's no need to republish. Simply note that the chapter has been rewritten.

However, if you're completely overhauling the fiction, including changing the plot, adding characters, adding worldbuilding elements, or adding deeper moral values, then you should simply publish a new book.
