Before I actually attempted to give the current story of mine (which I still refer to as a hobby) a shot and now ongoing, I used to listen to music on Youtube. But not entirely to those with vocals always but rather just pure instruments and maybe even with some orchestra or epic choir presence. If there's the right spot in that song, I began to imagine scenarios based on emotion, sometimes if there are images that give context and connects with that music, I felt like typing it down in the comment section.

I have done this many times, not everyone does get to see it but those who do were delighted by the time they spent reading it, wishing for more. I stopped around months ago because of many things IRL having me occupied. There are many others now who do the same thing after seeing my comments filled with them.

Today, I wonder if there are people here who may have started to write stories because of a similar experience as well. It's fine even if that's not how you became interested in writing one. This is just how mine began aside from other reasons later on that followed

I do not write in comment sections, but I do understand what you mean by scenarios. Those things depend on the music and its emotion so, a great variety of imagery appears inside my head. (Usually, a violin and piano gives me more depressing times than other instruments (as if someone is dying) )

I started writing one story cause the subject from one of kikuo's music was interesting. I wanted to see for myself what a child with golden child syndrome would pan out in writing, so I did it out of impulse.

Surely it must've gone well at least?

While I do find inspiration from music, my writing career started from a girl who wrote romance stories started recommending me to write a novel instead of drawing. I was a massive comic artist, striving to improve my drawing skills but I feel bad that my artistic style is kinda sht compared to other kids, once she recommended me to write, I started my writing career from gaining inspiration from the game popularize in my place.

Plot is simple. Study kid gets told by his classmate to play a game with them, discovers a natural talent in gaming to which he was scouted to play in a competitive league. Basically its an E-sports novel featuring how the game mechanics work and teamplay.

So I was greatly interested in writing in it but wasn't as popular as the girl and she then recommended me to the internet and 'Wattpad' and basically went to sht and slowly becoming a lazy writer who barely finishes his novels.

I miss the time where drawing simple comics were my thing....

Sometimes, songs partially inspire a chapter I'm writing. Sometimes, I stumble upon the right chapter song much later, when I'm editing the chapter or something.

I hate signing in to many accounts. I'm kind of lazy that way + privacy. So while I still like listening to 2steps from hell, Alan Walker songs, Chinese songs, and music that just sound interesting in general I just like to go off daydreaming about them, but I don't think I've ever really commented on YouTube. Even songs with lyrics. I often times just daydreaming scenarios even if there's already an existing story within that song. ?

That said, I was on an app that was mainly geared towards poetry but there were some writing challenges by people. I wrote for one challenge and won. It got me into actually thinking I'll write a story (up until then it was mostly just me daydreaming it off and random creative thoughts right before bedtime haha. I decided dump those thoughts into the Writing Prompts app before I gave it a try in that poetry app). It felt really good to see people follow me back for my writing and poetry. Sucks though since I went on hiatus, I never really went back to writing on that app...

What even hurts most? I was the undiscovered pioneer to innovation to unique novels. Like, i was discovering unique innovations, only to discovered that it wasn't popular AFTER some years past. Its like the past me had already been advancing so many trends i didn't even know about. Its not only resentful but also shame that I basically lost motivation AFTER my novels got popular.

I remember that some famous inventors that was obscured in the past since people don't believe in their works like copernicus.
Don't regret it if you thought that you made a good idea since only you can tell if it is good or not.
(Don't mind me, just being edgy)

Sad to say, but it hasn't gone anywhere yet. I'm too caught up with other things to dedicate my time to write... is what I would like to say, but I'm just procrastinating.
