posting pictures in chapters

I am a boomer in a teenage body. so can help me with this issue. I want to post a picture of my character in a story. I've downloaded the image but it is asking the source, being the boomer, I simply typed "google". I think it is asking for the link of the particular photo in a browser or something but I want to upload it directly from my laptop is there any way? Similar to this " attach file" option that I can see while typing this tread.

Trust me. I'm the same way. Can't seem to figure out computers for the life of me and I'm 21. As far as I know, you can only upload links to pictures which you first need to put on a hosted platform like Discord or Imgur. I don't think that there is a way to upload directly from your computer otherwise and people will have to click on the link to see it. You're much better off putting the picture in your stories glossary. You can do that in the Edit tab of your story on the create page. I hope this helps and if anyone knows a way to do it differently then please correct me.

I post it on to discord and get the message link, paste it into a chapter, press on it and spoiler it

I usually just upload it on Pinterest and then copy the link. Just make sure you make it private, so you are not seen as a thief or something.

Yeah, the site only allows you to use linked pictures. It doesn't let you upload pictures to the site.

This isn't a big deal. All you need is a few simple extra steps. Just get an account on some image sharing site, like Pintrest or Imagur, upload your picture there instead, and then get the link from your image sharing account.

Use any other website to host images. I use DeviantArt to host images. Right click to "copy image link" or "copy image location" and then use that for posting in your story.
