Has anyone tried to write (or actually successfully written) for these people? I am a little leery but it does not seem too difficult (especially given the quality of the stuff my wife listens to on it)...

I've thought about it. But I'm coming to the sharp realization that my work is more in the visual realm. Unfortunately I cannot draw

Wouldn't recommend it.

I wrote for Pocket FM they expect 6000 words per day out of you 5 days a week. They fancy themselves as tech execs so they call multiple useless meetings a week. The best part, these ***holes don't credit the writers who write them. They make up fake names and say its for licensing reasons. AKA they are stealing s***. They are awful and the stories suck. F*** Pocket FM!

Wow. Thanks. May try it anyway (it looks like there are three different "arms" of the company, the main one in India, so maybe only some of the other three or four - IIRC China, Indonesia and Japan - are despicable), but at least this is a good warning.

And, if not, I just opened a patreon so maybe that would be a more practical way to go...

I've decided to go the webnovel route. Write 1000 chapters of some worthless craptastic story that hits all the right tropes that Webnovel users love, submit it under a pen name, and wait for them to offer me a contract. Their contracts suck, but at least they only expect 1500 words from you a day instead of 6000. And the standards for success are so low over there that I could write a story in my sleep and it'd be about the same level of quality as most of what's on their trending page.

I usually get 2-3K a day when I have time to write (so about 4 days a week) but have a large back "catalog"
