Please add nation flag in author page

Hi there! I'm new here, so I hope this request isn't too much trouble for the awesome site owners . But I think I might have spotted a small but impactful feature that could really enhance the user experience!
Would it be possible to add nation flags to author pages?
I think this would have some major benefits:

• Boosting Community and Interaction: Seeing flags could make it easier for writers to connect with fellow writers from their own countries or regions. This could lead to more conversations, friendships, and even collaborations!
• Encouraging Global Engagement: It would be amazing to see the diversity of voices on this platform represented visually! Plus, it might inspire more cross-cultural exchanges and discussions.
• Building Small Writing Communities: ️ I'm personally hoping to connect with fellow writers from my country to create a small support group where we can review each other's work and provide feedback. Having flags would make it so much easier to find each other!

I think this would be a relatively simple technical addition, but it could have a big impact on the site's overall engagement and community-building potential. What do you think?

Privacy concerns. Why do I want to know where the author is from? Does that add anything to what they write? That seems appropriate to a SOCIAL MEDIA that wants to share as much info from people so others can practice their "I don't want to read anything from Pakistani" rather than a real additive feature. You wanna know where your author is from? What if they don't want others to know where they come from?

You want a social media for writers, you should search for one. SH seems more like a place for people to post stories they wrote and people to read than a place for people to share their life stories. And SHF is a forum, and forums, although a Social Media of sorts, work differently from FB, Twitter, and others.

You might see the nationality of a author by going to their profile (it's right beneath the profile pic)

This is not a good function to add honestly. You might not have any bad thought/hostility toward another country, but some people have them. By using this function, people will think that everyone should use it too. But what happen if an author come from a country that a lot of people have bad thoughts or even hostility about it? Won't that bias their reading time just for a flag function?

I'm against it. It won't be a forced function, but the fact that a lot of people will use it, will make it obligatory in some way.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone. I apologize for any confusion—I'm still new here and haven't had the chance to explore all the features thoroughly. I just discovered that users can still use their location as their country identity. sorry for bothering you all
