Place where you take pictures?

Part of my WIP takes place in one of those spots where kids get their pictures taken with Santa, but I'm having a hard time coming up with a word for it. Not the act of getting their pictures taken, but the place they do it. Right now I'm calling it a set, like a movie set, but that doesn't feel right.

"A little white plastic fence had been put up around the edges of the set."

"At least twenty kids were lined up outside the set."

"He carried the little boy across the set to where Santa was waiting."

Anyone have a better idea for what I could call it?

you mean a dedicated set? That's a studio. If you mean a pop-up (like in walmart, cabela's, etc), they're usually referred to as a stage, booth, set, etc.

Mall Santa on a throne of Christmas gifts, minimum wage, and with a list of naughty kids.

Man - dad used to be a mall Santa for about three years (even did Easter Bunny one year, but swore "Never Again" on that one). Never thought to ask him if there was a name for it, but I think the people setting it up called it a "stage"
