For whomever's novel has been pirated, did it feel good? Like, did you take some sort of pleasure knowing that someone took the time out of their day to Ctrl+V Ctrl+C each individual chapter and post it on some pirated website like lightnovelpub? Like, in a weird sort of way, you were "worthy" enough to be pirated. Either your story's very good or the numbers were just skyrocketing.

I noticed that Elyon, author of "Reincarnated with the Strongest System" was quite active on lightnovelpub, a website that mostly pirates from webnovel. Judging from his comments, he doesn't seem too bothered by the fact that his work is being stolen, rather, he seems flattered, interacting with other users and answering their questions in a fun, friendly manner. Which just got me curious as to how other authors feel about this matter.

EDIT: It seems he merged a lot of chaps into bundles then converted the text to audio and i just found the sixth batch's vid first. All posted by the same guy. i cant be sure but i think i saw him in a comment or review before either here or at webnovel. May just be a similar username tho, lots of zephys out there. Anyway, i dont mind, im more stunned at how weird a coincidence it is i found this out literally a day after he posted them

the way I see is if they aren't taking money away from me then it's free exposure. As long as they give credit and don't post exclusive content then it's fine. Also as long as they don't pose as me, but bots don't do that anyway.

I'm a bit fine with mine getting pirated since it just boost up my motivation that my novels are that interesting. But if they started making money while I'm still here struggling to earn one, we might have some problems.

I don’t monetize my stories, so knowing that there are more people who read my stories always make me feel happy. It’s that feeling of making multiple people orgasm all at once. A feeling of the ascension, of becoming the one true god~

My novels are free, so I'm flattered they pirated it. (I take it as my works are interesting)

There was one who tried to monetize it, but I posted my free chapters in his uploads (complete with illustrations, they seem not able to grab those), so he got bamboozled.

Besides, this is the internet. Unless one is willing to sue and pursue a case, then works uploaded here (in sites like these) are free real estate. An author can only clapback by removing any restrictions in his/her work, making the piracy invalid.

My only problem with these fellows is that, they don't pirate my stories properly, since I uploaded my works by arcs (separate arc 1, arc 2 and arc 3). Thus, their readers won't know what's next after a certain arc has ended.

I don’t get pirated but

_ I write and post fic so everyone can read for free without the intrusive ads. If someone puts my work behind a paywall or ask for even a cent of money for themselves using my words. All seals are broken, and Hell follows.

_ If I don’t see credit for me, I will take it that they committed crime against creatorship and heretics against my belief. We hang heretics and burn their corpse.
