Photos in chapters keep breaking

Hi! I'm fairly new to scribble hub I apologize if this post is in the wrong spot.

I wanted to add some images to my story chapters, and after a fair bit of fighting, I did manage to add some to my chapter 1 (I used the discord method). The images were clearly there, however, I noticed a few days later that the images were replaced with that broken image symbol and one of the images was missing entirely.

Any ideas as to what went wrong?

Discord is probably not the right place to host. They actively discourage it so its probably getting broken that way. Try a different host.

I may be wrong. But it's what Id try first.

I used the discord method

Discord files are hotlinkable for 3 days, then the link expires, and files (images here) are no longer accessible by it.
They did so (2 or 3 years ago) because people used Discord as a hosting platform, and it generated them a lot of unnecessary traffic.

I would suggest using hosting services like Imgur. Or you know, create a thread on this forum and use it for hosting said images -- saw multiple authors doing so.

Yeah, I couldn't get any other host sites to work for me at all and eventually I found a recommendation in the forums to try discord (granted it was from 2 years years ago, so a lot has likely changed.)
