I did not read the previous posts after OP's question, but I believe the simple philosophy is that "no man is an island".

Human is a social animal and while some can function with little interaction of other humans, there is still that connection.

We see familial love as important (for those who actually felt it, for those who did not or is actively seeking it, good luck) because of kinship.

Friends because likemindedness and mob mentality. Apes stronger in pack.

Romantic because mates, be it soulmates or fuck buddies. We have a way to connect in a deeper than friends connection, sometimes involving insertion.

I dunno. Depends on when and where you live. If you intend to write it into a story, you'd have to imply all that baggage into the setting by, say, having the story take place in AU modern Chicago and then you'd have a stage for what would be needed to even begin to talk family philosophy. That may or may not work but will be only really applicable to modern Chicago.

The Internet and popular media makes it seem like people live and think the same everywhere but it couldn't be farther from the truth so what I, a witch whose sensibilities come from some 2,5 thousand years ago Macedonia, late Roman Republic, Early to Late Roman Empire, Early Ottomam Empire, Medieval kingdom of France, late German Empire, Joseph Stalin's Soviet Union and the beginning of Deng Xiaoping's republic of China, consider a good family philosophy would seem cruel, stupid, outdated and barbaric to you but so will your, an alchemical puppet's, ideas will seem to me.

So, even if I say that you should beat your kids (all 20 of them, no exceptions!) until they wisen up, will you listen or continue to grow soft retards?
