So, I was wondering if there is any part time jobs for traditional artists. I mean if I could use my skills of traditional art in getting a part time job, then it would be easier for me to pursue it.
Well, I dream of studying abroad. So, I must have a part time job to pay my tuition fees (my dad is not gonna take responsibility lol). So, tell me if there is any job where I could just draw and earn. (I'm not talking about digital art)

Only part time job I can think of is freelancing. Though it does depend a bit on your style, technique, and speed.
What type of freelancing? I mean, do people hire artists to draw something? Like, wall painting/ mural?

If you start streaming drawing and painting for Twitch you might earn some cash.
Other than that, only if you find people willing to get a commission from you, there are some websites for that, flooded with distinct artists.
For that, you require a portfolio. Some people make a website for it, others use Instagram dedicated to art. You will end up using a portfolio for the rest of your life whenever faced with a client/opportunity.
Both ways to earn money would likely require you to be good.
The better the more rewarding.
Companies usually seek logo designers.
State structures might be willing to pay for more diverse jobs.

Yes, I remember the time my friend was hired to make a mosaic on the wall of a building. She had to re-make it two times.

Oh, so the main point is to be famous on social platforms. Noted. Thanks

Problem with this is that companies will be going to design companies. Especially if they plan on doing anything physical with the logo.
Unless fresh companies are not willing to spend a couple hundred bucks for one, they can still get the full rights over the created logo with a quick contract, which a fresh artist is usually willing to sign.

Sounds tough :blob_sweat:

It's a benefit in the long term.
There're websites that can give you insight like:
mademay might be the end goal
Etsy good to get commissions and a starting point.

Doing part time job implies having a consistent income. But working comms for a fixed amount is kinda the opposite of that. It is based on the availability of comms. There are some companies that will hire concept artists and pay them like a job but the people that I know who did this at least for game companies didn't like it.

Some people make comics and do that like people writing webnovels and run a patreon. That works for some people, but it is harder to monetize than just writing because drawing takes longer.

Hum.... You have a valid point. Earning by simply drawing is not easy for all. On top of that, the job is not consistent if I'm freelancing.

Use social media to make a portfolio, and try to get commissions using those same sites or even in forums like this one; it really depends on your style. Now for a boost, record yourself drawing and do a timelapse of each one of the drawings; that itself will get you more engagement and spread your art to more people, depending again on your style of drawing; the videos by themselves can get you some money.

Using twitch can be a good idea as you draw live; you can do that again for money from twitch itself, but it is best to use it just to find more commissions. The idea here is to use these platforms to make you more searchable and in front of more people's eyes and use that as another form of revenue. Making from drawings alone, i think, is hard, and using these things creates a divide between yourself and A.I.

Also, when you have enough drawings with your style, use midjorney and feed your drawings for more inspiration. Never mix yourself with your brand; nobody cares what you believe in; just earn money from this; don't put yourself in a situation where you will lose customers because of some moral cruzade like those crazy people on Blue Sky or Twitter.

I think that would be the gist of it.

While it is still freelancing, I suggest checking out RPGMaker and similar type game/programming engines and their forums. There are a lot of people that commission work for their indie games.

You can also look into the parent companies of those kinds of things because they also offer contract work for people to submit monsters, parallax images, sprites, or other material for games. You still need to fill out information like you would for a normal job but it can be a source of funds if you have the time and aptitude for it. Kadokawa, for example, had a drive a few months ago looking for pixel art for their MZ engine.

That aside, if you are serious about working as an artist, and haven't done so already, you should make a digital portfolio somewhere. Even though it sounds completely uncool, a portfolio is a resume that showcases what you're capable of. It will help you convince people to hire you.

Technically, I'm also a traditional artist/painter. My side job is teaching, baking, managing my printing business, and taking commissions. If you have the patience to teach, you can teach art.

Well, you can be a part-time teacher in your uni life?
