Combine it with the panty thief trope that Japanese media had until the late 2010s or so. The boys raid the female dorm, find an actual panty thief, they start an epic boss fight, the girls get involved, and nobody cares about the panty raid thing since it's a pretty stupid trope outside of frat courage tests (which are kinda stupid too).

I don't think panty raids have ever really been a thing in reality, aside from maybe one or two that got media attention and captured popular culture's imagination. Its attention grabbing, but not really an interesting trope. In fiction, I have seen it done only three times. Oddly in each of these the thief turned into a girl before the story ended.

They are totally a thing in real life, though it is not always sexual. One of my best friends and I did it to a camp counselor we thought was too strict when we were kids. We were going to put the panties up the flagpole, but some of the other kids ratted us out.

It apparently was a big thing between the 60s and the 80s but went out of fashion before 1990.
Happy Days featured an episode with a panty raid, IIRC, when the boys were visiting colleges. Quantum Leap had Sam forced to take part in one in the "Animal Frat" episode, and, IIRC, Animal House had one. Believe there was one in Revenge of the Nerds too, but have never seen the entire film.

If you want to reduce its questionable trope, then make a plot that mc have no choice but to do the raid. Like a system make them do so, or something happen to their fr and only a g's p*nty could help him, or he try to make a potion, but one of the ingredients is a g's p. Better yet? Make it an all boy school, so u will know the girl are just boy dress up lol.

unless your MC is Kazuma or Rudeus, not sure why they would want a panty raid. Unless they are...peeping in a gym locker room and it was an impromptu decision?

You could also make so everyone's panties are stolen but the FMC's, and have the girls accuse her of doing it...(assuming FMC, unless you are writing a male MC who is sharing with a bunch of guys...then IDK... two sports teams have a game, losers have to do what the winning team says...)
