:blob_hide:A mix of all. Some places are utopias, some are noblebright, some are heroic, and some are grim. The world is a large and ancient place so it leaves room for all possibilities.

Oh hey, I made that chart! It was originally for a story about an isekai police that travels between multiple worlds of varying kindness, and they rescue kids summoned to the lower tiers.

Fairytale is great for a vacation, but I guess heroic would be my ideal to live in. There you can make a solid difference while still living comfortably and in peace.

As for my stories, the first isekai police book takes place in a Fairytale world but with something sinister brewing under the surface. Living it for the Plot is Noblebright because while there are a ton of cheating assholes around every corner, they're too busy having sex to wage bloody war. And with Born Different, probably the same tier but we've only seen the dungeon which is very dangerous and anarchic for the monsters within.

depends on where you'll live, no? I think I'm all over the spectrum but not that deep in grimdark

I've used all, though am least likely to work in the extremes (heck, as a kid I HATED the Fairy Tales in the "approved" collections because they had all these horrible things happen to innocent or mostly innocent people and yet, somehow, they all live happily ever after with no scars or remaining trauma - and yeah, I actually looked up those words trying to figure out what it was that bugged me about them when I was old enough to figure out how to look words up), because I just don't really enjoy them in general, either as a reader or a writer, except for very short works.

Isnt noble bright world just your common cultivation fantasy?
No, Cultivation world is pretty much an easy Grimdark world.

There is no "pretty surface", as the world has gone terribly wrong since the existence of "Cultivation".

Any human and animal without cultivation, is just a "Mortal", which is the Majority of people who can't cultivate.

"mortal" are worse than animal. For reference, "Mortal" is far worse position in comparison to ant vs human, in which ant could still hurt human with its small sting, mosquito with their bites, bear with their claws, and elephant with their big leg could stomp human.

"Mortal" couldn't pose any physical threat whatsoever to cultivator, as they're just like slow walking flesh that cultivator could kill, torture, eat, and bed as they please.

Every "Mortal" knew that fact and accept them as fact of life. And therefore, every "Mortal" are scared-to-death of cultivator like a kid being scared of monster.

The only reason most Cultivator cares about Mortal is because majority of Cultivators were born as Mortal who lives in normal Mortal villages/town/cities, and cultivating from their Mortal days until they got hired by sect/mercenary/imperial guard.

And also because Sect get majority of their disciples from Mortals in their territories.

They have huge incentive to care about Mortal, as huge amount of mortal genocide equals to less future disciple, and therefore less member.

Less member equals to less power against other sect, and other province.

Cultivation world are so badly grimdark, that no serious writer would write anything other than MC who have progresses with "cultivation" just to progress the story without MC being considered "weak" and "useless" like a "mortal".

Assuming you mean my primary current world, It's somewhere between gilded and noblebright. everyone has constant looming threats, but there isn't really anything majorly, world-ending over anyone. Mostly just bandits and monsters that threaten all the everyday people.

Noble bright if you're not a mortal. lol
Then again, the passage of time in cultivation novels is pretty quick, at most decades have passed for the first 100 chapters, so civilians don't really interact with cultivators unless there's some kind of Righteous vs Evil plot going on.

Yup, that's where I originally posted it, and it's been reposted all over the place with people asking where other stories fit in. It's pretty fun that something silly I made ended up becoming so fun for so many others!
