Suggested genre/s: gaming; fantasy, sci-fi
Short:
"Help, there's a celebrity playing my game, and they are demanding cheats in exchange for good publicity!"
Many game developers have experienced this situation. But what happened to me is worse! A super powerful existence is fooling around in my game, and I have to fear for my life.

Details:
The protagonist is a game developer of a semi-popular MMORPG. Everything seems to be looking up, until one day, s/he receives a concerning email by a person claiming to be a god. That person offers their help with the game's promotion in exchange for his/her permission to make 'some minor changes'. Our protagonist is quite a rational person and not very religious. Laughing it off as some prank, s/he asks the god to prove their promotional abilities.
Unfortunately, it's not a prank, and the users rapidly increase through a series of miraculous coincidences. Unfortunately, the game also seems to be continuously gaining features (and bugs) that s/he does not remember implementing. Furthermore, one user seems to be collecting reports for cheating. God asks him/her to uphold his/her end of the bargain and take care of it... or die.

Task: Write out one day of the dev's life, and how s/he deals with the reports, the unannounced features, weird bugs, and constant threat to his/her life.

“I refuse to accept this!!” The passionate Game Developer screams with all their might.

“You shall not tarnish all of the time We have spent perfecting Our masterpiece with your shitty graphics and terrible game design!” Game Developer exclaims

Game Developer assembles their team of Story Director, Art Director, and PR to face down the tyranny of God. They gather their strength through the power invested in them by their loyal P*treons and create the ultimate weapon.

Through long hours and laborious work, Team GM creates their ultimate artifact; Dungeon Master Ascension Device, or DMAD for short.

Through the power of the DMAD Game Developer ascends to become the Dungeon Master, and through many epic battles grants the Team GM the power to defeat God.

The End

i have no idea what i wrote but it probably makes no sense… anyway I’m gonna sleep now…

The dev felt pretty bad until his income for the game reached around 100k per day. After that, he felt that that God fella wasn't that bad, what is the big deal to make a few minor changes?
