Novels or Light Novels only here?

I posted some work on royal road, and kinda wanna post it here too, but the work on rr is definitely a Novel. As far as I see, what trends here and what fills the digital shelves are light novels and fan fiction. Stuff with an anime aesthetic and low word count per chapter. Each place has its niche, and I'm not raggin on anyone, I just want to know if it would be appropriate to post a novel here with chapters ranging from 4-5k words.
Also, is there an interest in High Fantasy works here? I've been passively posting chapters to something I worked on as a side project and want to know if can/should commit here with the whole series/saga.

From what I noticed this place loves...
1. For tags smut, isekai, litrpg
2. Middle grounds of word count in novels are around 3k words
So you can try posting it, maybe it will be liked

If your main posting site is RR, SH is simply a promotional platform then. Same the other way around.
In general, posting on multiple sites allows you to generate more viewer traffic- granted it will seem smaller than the actual total as viewers are spread across multiple sites.
Some people using SH don’t even know about RR, so linking your RR version in the SH chapters (generally at the end) could help.

If you do well in SH you will likely do well in RR. Same the other way around. If you are doing well in RR, you will likely do well in SH. Obviously this is not guaranteed, since the demographics are a bit different. But posting is free so there is nothing you have to lose other than a few minutes of your time.

I find that SH and RR both have finicky audiences. RR people are SUPER entitled.
SH people I find like to complain about things they already have admitted they don't like. (I've never understood the need to read a story with themes that aren't your cup of tea).

Just my two cents.

Most of the works that I post here are full-on novels. My usual chapter length is anywhere from 5000-9000 words (I write long chapters), but I cut them in half for SH in order to spread chapters out into more posts and extend the release of stories.

Thanks for the feedback, I think i'll post chapter sections here and link to rr. I will agree that RR readers are entitled, and the review swap trade culture is kinda cutthroat. I like the relaxed atmosphere here, but i will need a new cover with anime tiddies to get readers if I post my novel here.

I asked for 1 review and a random guy came in and started embellishing.
It was nuts. Half of his review wasn't even pertinent to my story.
He gave me a decent score (above AVG) while proceeding to basically lie to anyone who might have been using his review as a basis for reading.

I recognized it for what it was and called him on it. He doubled down and pretty much things got ugly. So yes I will agree, they do very shady things and try to cover their tracks with "nice guy" aethetic.

For the most part, I prefer SH to RR any day because of this. It's exactly as you say.

Your definition of Light Novel is wrong.

Light novels are novel serialized in volumes. Novels from 1K to 5K words and serialized in Chapters are Webnovels.

And yes, this place has no problem with longer chapters so long as your writing is good. The place you should probably avoid in WN since there you need daily chapters to become relevant
