No views? At all!?

Is there some sort of filtering process before a novel can start being viewed or something? If so I don't remember that warning.

Any clues why this might be happening?

Mhm. It's as BB says. Once it's been approved then it will show up on the lastest updates page and you will appear in the New Releases feed.

it will show up if searched for but wont appear on the latest series or latest update sections untill its cover is approved or something like that from what i can tell.

If you're referring to the pageviews, most stats are updated every 24 hours so you'll have to wait.

You don't need a cover to be shown in the latest series and/or latest updates. You do need one though if you want free advertising from https://www.novelupdates.com/

thats weird because when i made a new story and it didnt show up there for at least a few hours past publishing. Maybe you dont need a cover but i thought the story would have to go through some sort of process before it showed up there. It did show up when searched for though. Huh

Yes, all novels needs to get approved before it shows up on the main page.
