I tried doing that once years ago when I started writing fanfiction, but I didn't include the portals. Still, even without the portals, it didn't end well. It ended up with me having to keep track of the knowledge of multiple fandoms, and it was just too much for my pea brain to handle. So no, don't do it. Don't short circuit your brain like I did.

Honestly, I have only seen bad authors try this out, so I have been burned too many times to look for more. But if you think you are awesome enough to take this on, then I would gladly check it out after it has 5 (long) chapters or 10 (short) chapters.

Ive seen this concept done kinda well as part of a tabletop campaign, but translating it to a single reader fanfic is going to be a considerable exercise.

Go for it, but expect lots of flame no matter what you do, unless you hit a really solid niche.

Don't do something that requires detailed knowledge on multiple fandoms. Also don't write a fanfic, if you have an idea just write that idea without complicating it with different universes.

where it just collides the original writers' worlds
