Hi everyone, my name is Resurrection Bahamut and I'm the Author and illustrator of "Resurrection Bahamut". Yes I realized my mistake with my username now, lets not talk about that. I've been publishing on SH for about two weeks now, and stalking the forums for a couple of months. To make a long story short and get my first post out of the way I'm looking for feedback on my story. I recently fractured my finger, so with the time off I plan to improve my writing, read more stories on the platform and improve my standing within the community. With that being said, somethings I'm aware need my attention are my synopsis, I feel my chapter titles could be more appealing , and I'm strongly considering rewriting my first chapter to be more appealing. Besides that any little advice or critiques are welcome. I'm opening to giving feedback on other's work as well so please feel free to drop a link to your story it you like, and we can all build together.

Here is a link to my story, If it doesn't work I believe you should be able to find my series through my profile. Sorry in advanced still new.

Hey-ho. Finally, someone with no AI bs, so I'm gonna jump in and give a few tips, mostly formatting ones:

  • Trim your synopsis.
    • I was like this before, but yeah, readers won't bother with it. You need to cut 2/3 of that out, as the synopsis must be sharp, snappy, and short.
    • If you want, then add author notes at the end of it, which can be an option for more info about the book
  • Tags are good, but try to fill the 25-tag limit. It helps discoverability.
  • Chapter titles.
    • Include chapter designation in them, believe me, it is very helpful. Like: Chapter 1 - then your chapter title. It not only helps you keep track, but also allows them to glance at it and know where they were previously. It is also more appealing to users.
Now, about chapters, I will only give you a formatting tip. I can see that you copied it from Google Docs. There are too many big spaces getting brought over between paragraphs. I had the same issue. You have two solutions. Either copy-paste it with CTRL + SHIFT + C to remove formatting or press the icon on the image I am including here.

There is no other way to fix the issue, and you will have to reformat things on the website editor.

Also, just an opinion, but I'd get rid of the indents, webnovel readers won't like it.

Other than these... Good Luck, and go get those readers!

This formatting advice is on point. I hated giving up the indents, but we have to let them go. The reformating work sucks, but your new stuff you'll simply write to copy past. I write without indents now.

Also, you'll be using smaller paragraphs eventually.

Good luck out there. ?
