So I am an author and write stories. I'm working on my ...forgot what I'm up to...I'm in the teens for novels. I am currently working on sequels to The Elf Collector a popular ebook series, and 'So You've Decided to Become A Necromancer.

I just released Witch Tamer Book 2 today.

I also raise rabbits, ducks, and honey bees. I enjoy self sufficiency and freedom. (Feel free to ask me about this stuff in private any time. Especially if you want a better life and want to be more self sufficient I reccomend raising rabbits. No noise, and you can eat them and enjoy them. They can hypnotize children also.)

So that's what I'm up to.

I used to heavily use Royal Road for marketing, until Royal Road started persecuting authors. It would start by jealous other people mud slinging at people they wanted to climb over to get a better rating. It wasn't the first time I'd had trouble there. It ended up with lots of trouble and biased undeserved persecution where I took down all my stuff on Royal Road.

My question...

Since I'm new to Scribble Hub, how open are they to harem scenes here? Most of my series are harem RPG stories. I want to double check where the line in the sand is and also if it looks like the rules line is moving in any direction any time soon? I see genre tags here for ecchi, and harem, but is that likely to change any time soon? Or does it turn into a thing where everyone is going after you that's a rival? And what about harem members that were rescued as slaves, will people hunt you down for that here, instead of reward you for setting her free and making her a wife?

I write mostly for fun, but I'd always try to do a good job for readers. Then it started to take off and become a career. I just love writing RPG style harem stories and try to make and put in them what I think others are lacking. I appreciate other writers too and don't feel threatened if someone is as successful as I am.

I just want to have fun with this.

Please help me to understand the mood and playing field here so I don't have problems with people.

Thank you.

Just write nobody might judge you or flame you.
As an honest opinion if you are going to stick with you know those genres then dont expect to please everybody many like to read mindlessly and only enjoy power fantasy.

TWA is pretty good at explaining you how to deal with displeased readers

I’m guessing you didn’t see the tag for smut. As for rescuing slaves and setting them free, I can see people being upset about that, but probably not in the way you think. It would be like, “why didn’t you create a slave harem of werewolf and monster girls then breed them for additional harem members?”

If you’re worried about Ecchi and harem, then worry not friend. Write to your hearts content. Nobody is going to come after you, actually :blob_hmm_two: You’ll probably get a pretty sizable reader count here.

They're very open but there are certain limits you must not pass. Check details here for enlightenment. Oh, don't forget the tag and warning!:blobtaco:

Thank you to the others also. I wanted to try to reply to everyone but that's not feasible. So I'll comment to the ones I can.

I've never done a tentacle harem story.

Does that fall within or without the certain limits? (Do people even want tentacle harem stuff?)

Actually I'm more traditional with normal harems. So don't worry. But had to ask to gather data.

You don't have to worry for that. Many people would probably read your work given the genres and the tags you plan to incorporate. Still, don't expect to please everyone (that's impossible anywhere)

So, is your story something like Arifureta? I'm getting those vibes. That, or Shield Hero. Must be the RPG style description.

Anyway, welcome aboard. Hope you have a good time here. I'm relatively new here myself (around a month or so) and I'm generally cool with the community.

Hard to explain...I'm already putting up stuff.

I really like to avoid the traditional predictability. I love unpredictability, but like the story to be sort of hard mode, but not actually kill characters off. I didn't like in that shield hero and arifureta one or more of the characters were used as abuse bags by the others, but their ideas would have been more fun if not for that.

I do love the isekai themes.

But I kind of like the idea of stories like goblin slayer mixed with those.

Thanks for the good question.

Ow, you'll get a lot of eyes on your work - add a bit of interesting plot and you'll be ready to launch into the world of tentacle lovers. There are a lot of them, cough, here. I dunno much about the rest but there's a debate about it, but as far I know, there's quite a lot of readers around it. Nevertheless, I'm not forcing you but - add a 'succinct' plot. Not pure erotica. At least you'll be able to evade excessive scrutiny.

But not me. I'm a psychopathic Trivago who kills with kindness.

Welcome! I think you'll enjoy it here.
Polygynous harem stories get five stars.
Polyandrous (reverse harem) stories get one star.
At least, mine does, and I like it that way ?
