It's a completely new story, actually, just with similar character names. The reason why I'm back on this is because I spent months writing fanfics on Wattpad and AO3, and although they did gain a fair amount of traction, I wasn't writing wanted I wanted to write (one of them was a Bungou Stray Dogs fanfic I made up on the spot just by reading the characters' wiki pages). I was just riding the trends, getting praise from yes-people who only cared about subpar romance and melodrama.

In the end, I wanted to go back here, as well as in Royal Road and maybe even give it a shot on Space Battles. But as it turns out, editing my 20 chapters takes so much longer than I expected, and I've only finished editing 9 of them.

I understand it's a new story. Forum users might not be yes men, but they won't read your story. This is the problem.

Yeah, it probably is, but I'm not looking for that at all. I'm just scared my work will flop since I'm not confident posting only 10 of my edited chapters of it at the moment. Someone already told me I should edit or even rewrite all 20 of them before posting, so I'm getting there.

I'll just remove what I what said and this whole thread, tbh, because I agree. This isn't helping me.

But should you be slavishly listening to other people though? Feedback should only be taken as a general guideline. If you are happy with what you've done, no point not posting it
