Need help on writing character expys

I've had this idea for quite some time because the current arc is one big homage to a certain show that kickstarted the isekai genre as we speak, a show about a certain swordsman who dual-wields and his chestnut-haired girlfriend.

So, what was my own spin with these two characters? Well, one wears red instead of black and dual-wields the 2nd Amendment a la John Wick, and the other has lavender hair and has probably the most peculiar personality I've written for a side character thus far. It was based on a question to myself: why aren't there many women characters who act like hot-blooded shounen heroes? So, I just rolled with it.

Essentially, I created an Asuna with Goku's personality and a Kirito with Dante's personality (at least in battle). If it sounds like fanfic schlock, that's because I used to be quite active on the scene.
