In the Omniverse, Universes are created and destroyed in a timely cycle. like cells in a human body, if a universe refuses to die it develops cancer. And a Tumor will grow, this Tumor will cause the end of the Universe. Either by destroying the universe it's self or starting...

The world tree lead to what was basically this worlds version of world war 1
The main person responsible for this is the fourth tumor: human dictator.
If the world tree were to ever sprout again it would lead to world war 2.
