So I added Buddhism as a category because the story has Buddhist principles. But now that I reached number in the category, I thought to check out the other novels. Only, they are dropped or have a single chapter or long since dead. It left me with mixed feelings. I was happy at the achievement but it turned out to be hollow.

Keep on writing. Rankings are great, but to be able to move your readers (or elicit emotions) is better than rankings.

Then what the fuck are you doing rn? Strengthen your novel. Fortify your position. Just because there isn't any competition now doesn't mean there won't be asshats looking to shit in your cereal bowl in the future. Get grinding. Get writing. Man the forts and arm the cannons. Shill like there's no tomorrow. You keep that #1 spot like it's your last kidney.

I got number one is sudden wealth, and all those stories have a couple chapters and less than 10K views. So yeah, you might find a tag with little to no competition.
