My novel cover was denied :(

So, my new novel that i'm working on has a cool cover that apparently shows "too much skin"
This illustration is very important to my novel. It was the inspiration for a main character...
I even got permission to use it from the artist.
The illustration shows NO nudity

If scribbl3hub wont accept it as is, maybe one of yall might have some advice on how to edit it. (I really dont want to do that)

Also, crop your pic slightly higher. I know you are going for a tease but the admins here don't like a naked adolescent girl with strategic coverspots as the cover.

If i tried to draw over the top of the artists work, it would just look hideous

edit, i guess i could crop a little higher. Also Damn! that stings a little. The character is just supposed to be slender, not young...

Guess your just gonna have to bite the bullet and ask the artist to make a few edits. He may charge you for it tho. But ya never know if you don't ask

Rules say that even suggestive covers are prohibited. Your pic is very suggestive. I had the same thing happen to my story Tales of Iscia. But I changed it because rules are rules. If you want to use that specific pic, upload to CHYOA site.

I'd say just be on the safe side and not include them.
If you want a site where you can do that, try chyoa.com. It's got good traffic, and there's very little rules on cover image and you can upload many many illustrations in your chapters.

All I can testify is that I got many covers refused for even hinting at nudity even though the pic was cropped.
