My Ero Writer Urges…

I feel like writing Erotica sometimes but then feel embarrassed. Not about the story, but about what tf am I doing when I could be working on my more normal action fantasy story.

I am able to write in the short term and make nice chapters filled with character despite it being ero, but then I get stuck due to being an Architect type Writer. My mind goes blank from possibilities and losing understanding of it all.

I could… really COULD plan out an erotica, but then the more rational part of my brain keeps on asking ‘Why?’ and then I have no answer. Could be doing other stuff instead. Why this? Do I really want to write another ‘The Incubus Hates Sweet Girls’? Do I gain satisfaction from writing this?

I’d like to tell myself I’m a respectable fantasy writer, but then I get the urge to write something erotic. It kinda just makes me blush. There is a dark side of me, and it’s not the cool kind.

It’s the VERY uncool variant.

I don’t have any questions or requests about this. Just thought of oversharing to the world.

You’re welcome. ?

P.S. I should probably stop using AI Art Generator cards to draw NSFW drawings of elves.

I've written a smut chapter before. If you really want to write an erotic one, just find a way to meld it into the main story.

That way, your weakest to strongest hero can turn from a do-gooder who'll kill the Demon Lord to a do-gooder who'll kill the Demon Lord but screw some hot elves along the way.

Oh yeah, do it. Some of us can't because we can only write smut if we're in the mood. Terrible for efficiency, I might say. It's a good way to see if you're like that or not.

For me it’s kinda the opposite since I can focus on character building within the smut.

In the end, humans love smut. You were born out of it. If anyone tells you were born out of holysome (see, HOLYsome, not wholesome) act, doubt them. That's just how our brains are wired. Few people are wired to not feel anything during the sexual act, and those usually have more problems because of that than those who feel because of it.

Is it wrong to write smut? Definitely not. People are going to converge to your writing. They will praise you for your hot words, for giving relief to their overactive thoughts. To giving escape to their fertile mind! And that you should be proud, because people want a reason to believe they are not wrong to have expectations between their legs!

Well, then, go forward and write, be happy and share your naughty words with the world, for I am sure, those who would condemn you of it are none the better than you, for no one can deny that without smut, they too would be condemned to extinction! Just try not to devolve too much into debauchery and promiscuity, and let them have some moral ground over you.

As a writer of oft-erotic fiction: smut gives you a different angle for character building than other forms of interaction, and is great for character building and intimacy.

Sex and sexuality is a part of most people's life experience, and I don't think it's immoral to write about it?

Write what you wanna write!

had the same urge, but then I chose to refrain from doing so (for now at least). As a result, I just write some scene with an exposed skin, and that's it.

Honestly, I feel like a weight has been lifted with those words. You read me like a book.

I think it's normal to write ero stories. You don't have to worry about it. Sex is part of people's life so I don't see why it wouldn't be the part of the story. Though it doesn't have to be sexually explicit.

actually you can just write the normal one but keep the smut version for yourself or release it as a separate retelling or alternate scenarios. in a way, it was just a what-if that may not affect the main story at all.

that way, you can just write your story like usual without forcing it coherently smutty.
