My discovery is bugging me~

So...

I had another epiphany but not about the secrets of the universe.

I just noticed the similarity between two fictions and came to the conclusion that one of them was based on the other.

One is the X-men franchise and the other is the MHA(BNHA) anime.

The quirks and mutations have too many similarities that its bugging me thinking about their natures.

(1)Both are mutations born from genes and dna.
(2)Both are like muscles that need to be trained and used to be controlled.
(3)Both of them can grow stronger as they are trained.
(4)Both powers revolve only around a specific thing.
(5)Both powers developed the world towards a Hero vs Villain society.

Those are the similar things I can think of right now.

Although there are similarities there are also differences like.

(1)Drawbacks of powers
(2)History and origin of powers(quirks-100yrs old)(mutations-5000(?)yrs old)
(3)Energy sources
(4)Adaptability to experimentations?

My brain crashed and its taking a while to think so Imma stop now and post just this.

I had another epiphany at the end though.

Quirks are actually a nerfed version of Mutations(X-gene).

I mean.... I don't see anything weird tho. Most superhero fictions are similar in those 5 ways, or at least most of them, I'd say. Except Marvel. But most others.

BNHA author is a comic nerd, no surprise over the similarity.

Also, this is like a genre, if you want to make a superhero, mutation is one of the key route, alongside of "not a human at all", "supernatural", "charles atlas" and "techno geek".

The difference is MHA mutant pop is like 80% of the world.

So instead of a racism allegory, it's a generic good looking people/powers vs ugly people/powers story.
