Recommendations MCs who do dirty/ wet works and gets to comfortably retire.

Maybe I got affected by too much JP, KR and even CN where the MC who did the dirty/ wet works and most of the heavy background lifting got "betrayed/ retrenched" in the end and threw a hissy fit.

And then somehow the organisation/ party will fall into ruins etc because "karma"

I was genuinely tired of that and recently found a concept to be fun.

The concept of 面子与里子 (mtl: Face and substance)

Think of samurai and ninja. The samurai is the face/ reputation of the family while the ninja is the underhanded darkness to keep the family running and surviving.

Of course, the ninja can never be found out because it will tarnish the good family name.

In the end, the main family still fell despite the ninja's effort. So he went apeshit and tearing everyone involved a new asshole.

Also he can do that because he is the strongest member in the family (including the head of the family and no one knows about him).

I am not doing a writing prompt.

To be honest.
Lot of "good plot ideas" are easily inventable by "uno reverse" the spammed ideas/tropes of CNs.
And its fucking frustrating NO ONE do them, despite clearly RIGHT THERE.

Its like lot of ultra good ideas are only foundable in yaoi/fMC/yuri/Genderbender
and you go : WHY THE FCK dont they do a mainstream series with a male MC that could EASILY make them popular/famous ?!
ex: Fullmetal Alchemist ; Death note author gender unknown ; Ranma ; Delicious in dungeon ; Frieren (unknown) ; Black butler

I lost count on how many times i find a series on 69shu, only for it to be a female protag series.
(easily recognizable by their summaries, or by simple facts they got a lot of #Tags, that for some reasons, male authors DONT DO FOR NO FKING REASONS despite annoying the heck out of readers/etc to find their series. Kinda in a sense of "Oh a series i knew annoyed me with it, so i gonna do the same for everyone")
