Volume 1 of my novel Magical Girl Overtime is nearing its conclusion!
A short introduction for those not yet familiar with Magical Girl Overtime:
We're following the everyday life of Seika Hitoishi, a 30-year old light novel editor who, against the laws of anime and the cosmos, remains a Magical Girl (capitalized due to in-universe events), despite long having graduated from high school.
Her world's dimensions weakened 16 years ago during an event called the 'Kawaguchi Incident', during which strange, shadowy creatures appeared and attacked the populace, before being destroyed by a suddenly appearing Magical Girl.
Ever since, more and more strange creatures appeared, and so did more and more groups of Magical Girls. From the floral-themed Flower Brigade, to the idol group 'The Celestial Sisters', all forms of Magical Girls watch over Tokyo.
Seika will try to balance her job with her responsibilities as a Magical Girl, all while having to battle demons of her own, her repressed feelings for a woman who is openly in love with her, and her mysterious past.
