Looking for plot ideas for a sonic AU

Hello guys, gals and enby pals.
I decided to take up an au for sonic which I love
Now I can't get to it immediately cause I already have a series I'm working on and can't do two at the same time.
I want to know what plot points you'd like to see in a sonic non lore friendly au.
I was hoping to try and devle more into Dr.Robotnik more as an overload trying to take over Mobius and how his people operate and make sonic part of his empire.
But what other plot points would you like to see from characters or the world.
Also as a side note: Shadow isn't Sonic's clone anymore, Dr.Robotnik isn't trying to kill Sonic, and Tails gets removed after Sonic reveals that they'll join the Robotnik empire of free will.

Btw. Shadow never was a clone of Sonic. He's usually way older than Sonic, albeit stuck in cryosleep or something similar for most of it.

Really? Most of my sonic knowledge comes from archie comics Sonic so I didn't even know this.
Robotnik isn't gender bent only sonic is.
The doc is gender fluid though with a robot body.
I should probably also add that Sonic is aromantic, so there won't be any romance related relationships. At least not with Sonic.
