Looking for Modern warfare with cheat mc

Cough, Anyone knows novels with modern like if not sci-fi-like settings with guns as the main point of action??

I realized I've been reading too many swords, magic, and cultivation novels and now I'm a bit sick of it so I want to read a modern warfare novel.

The closest novel I read to what I'm looking for is 'This game is too realistic' Other than that, I cant find anything.

There are not many web novels like that.
I can't think of any on sh, but RR has Pioneer 0, which might suit your tastes.
Song of void is pretty awesome too, its a sci-fi with battleships and everything, but its mostly drama with very little battles.

Since you have read a lot of webnoveles already I hope you have read Lord of Mysteries, its one of the most grounded stories out there. guns aren't really the main point of action, but they are certainly important for the entire first part of the story.

In general, gun fights just aren't as easily written to be engaging. They set up long-ranges fights, with overwhelming force and low defense, which basically ends up being a contest of who shoots first or who is most accurate. Hard to do a narrative arc with blow and counter-blow, trading blow in a more "fair" battle, leaving time for tension to rise and fall in a one shot kill scenario.
For an engaging gun battle, either you have multiple enemies you can neutralize one by one, or you take the westerns' route and let the duelists look at each other for ages before firing a single shot.

If I may be so bold in recommending my novel, Villain Throne, it ls more modern with guns but combines the slower warfare of trench warfare and huge cities and sieges. There are still powers and martial arts but overall it has a lot of strategy and combat once you get into the story

I'd also humbly throw my own hat into the ring and suggest my current project Focal Point. A bit of science fiction in the realm of artificial intelligence, but the warfare takes place in our own world with modern/slightly futuristic military hardware. No powers, magic, or leveling up involved.
