The first topic of the video is about brain in robot, but I'm wondering, isn't it cheaper to lobotomize a functional human and wire some punishing electrode into their brain to deliver pain to train it??

Cheaper, maybe. But there's a lot of issues with that. Even if we ignore all moral and social red flags, a human brain would likely be unnecessarily complex, which would make it inefficient and harder to develop, and it would definitely be far too big and too heavy for many applications.

Additionally, an artificial biocomputer can be developed specifically for the task it's supposed to do, while human brains, well, they're human brains. There would be a fuckton of redundancy.

Meh not impressed actually. It's basically just the frogenstein experiment but couple more steps.

Our natural brain is complex and very difficult to integrate with technology. But the basic components of neural tissue, firing signals, that's pretty much all done and dusted. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice project but I'm more impressed with the guy who could play a game with an implant.

fleshy processors are a downgrade not an upgrade. If they somehow find a way to convert protein tissues into metal circuitry, with no error down to a quark than I'll be interested.
