Writer's Meme
The point of this, Writers, is to Be Sarcastic -- about yourself, about what you write, and about how you write it. The questions are NOT meant to be serious. It's to help you look at your work, and working habits from with a less serious eye. (They just look serious because I yanked them off of a few interview sheets.)INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Copy-Paste this list of questions into a doc on your PC.
If you wanna hand-type the whole thing out on your phone, be my guest, but that seems like way too much work to me.
2) Once you filled this out --in private-- let it sit for a day, or a week.
3) Go back and look again.
What you see might surprise you.
4) Enjoy the results!
If you feel like pasting your results here on the forum, that's fine. I certainly won't stop you. :)

> Do you use a typewriter, a computer, a cell phone, or write by hand?
YES.
> What are your five favorite words?
"Get out! I am Writing!"
> Do you favor writing happy endings, or sad endings?
I just wanna write ENDINGS!
> Do your chapters have cliff-hangers?
Only if I'm forced to. I find them frustrating to read, and even more frustrating to Write.
> Do you ever write based on your dreams?
Dreams... I have many. So, so many... Oh wait, Yes.
> Have you ever written something based on an artwork you’ve seen?
Only all the time.
> Do you have a constructive critic or beta reader?
I have beta-readers. They're called: My Fans. They even volunteer! Poor bastards...
> How often do you get writer’s block?
When do I NOT get writer's block?!
> How do you fix your writer's block?
-- For fan-fiction
I go back and read/watch the series I'm writing in -- so I can get frustrated all over again and rage-write some more.
-- For original fiction
I go to the computer, drink a LOT of coffee, and harass people on public forums. Like this one! By posting writing tutorials. If I'm lucky, one of the tutorials I post will jog something loose in my mind -- so I can go back to actually writing.
> Do you ever go back to an old idea long after you abandoned it?Yes. I like to mash old ideas together. Sometimes I get something fresh. Sometimes I get so disgusted by my own drivel I write something new just to get those images out of my brain.
> Do you save every document you write?
YES. No matter what writing surface I scribbled on.
-- On your PC?
Yep. That's where I transfer all my scribbles into a folder all it's own called: Scribbles.
-- In folders or notebooks?
Yep! And sticky notes, and napkins. On the bathroom wall, once. Once!
> What’s one genre you have never written, and probably never will?
One of those middle-school Lite Novels.
> What genre would you love to write but haven’t?
One of those middle-school Lite Novels.
-- What's holding you back?
Embarrassment. They look like so much fun! But I would be crucified by my readers and editors for writing Mary Sue Wish-Fulfillment stuff.
> Do you write for a living?
Yes.
-- Do you want to?
YES. I can't stand working a normal job. They have PEOPLE there!
> Have you ever written something for a magazine or newspaper?
Yep. Lots.
> Have you ever won an award for your writing?
Yep. Some.
> Have you ever written a novel?
Yep. Lots.
> How many writing projects are you working on right now?
WAY TOO FUK'IN MANY!
~ And you're done!
