So uh, I write because I enjoy imagining silly scenarios in my head. Putting them on ‘paper’ makes them feel real. Gosh escapism huh.

I recently came up with the Idea of where a bunch of kids who didn’t know each other and had “amnesia” were dropped off in a random forest. Normal Isekai here.

but what if they came from my hero academia’s world? With quirks suddenly infused with the magic of the dungeons and dragons world they were forced into? I just really like this Idea and have already written a chapter on it but I wanted random internet opinions.

You don't have to stick to being just a MHA fanfic since its already good just making it such that the world has superpowers but not relating to the anime. It is also good that all those people are related to one another but because of the amnesia, they only feel familiar with each other but thats basically it which you can dig deeper into that topic later.

I can say that if you only stick to the MHA thing, it might be difficult if you want to develop it to be stronger so I suggest taking it out and have it that they all have superpowers but isn't utilized in that world due to more powerful heroes there but in the isekai, they could develop their abilities there.

It is also cool idea to combine their abilities with magic which further enchant or complement their superpowers as well.

Though this is just an idea if you want to take since its only a few in my encyclopedia of isekai knowledge and superpowers.

It depends mostly on what kind of story you want to write. The premise of a lot of stories are promising, but the end result is often lacking.
Let me just first say, I haven't read / watched MHA. If the premise that the characters are from MHA nulls what's below, then you can just ignore it.

If the purpose of the story is the showcase the abilities the characters possess - sorry, but I think a lot of people will drop the story quite quickly. At least I would. Stuff like that is only the spice of a story, not the content.

If the purpose of the story on the other hand is to tell a story, such as how the characters try to find out the reason why they wake up in a random forest with amnesia? A story that has something for the characters to strive forward? Takes more effort perhaps, but the story would probably be more interesting to both read and write. Maybe you already had planned for that, but as it wasn't mentioned I'll just put it out there.

Crossovers are a bit of a risk when you write fanfiction. Most people tend to ignore stories which are related to things they haven't watched or read. (Or played)

In my opinion, since you aren't using the storyline from MHA, you can just explain their powers and start off as a normal fantasy. And DnD based mythology makes for great world building so you can use that instead of assuming that readers know about it.

Sounds like you got an idea on how to start the story. I believe you could go somewhere with that concept, but to add onto what the others have stated I don't see a point in bringing in MHA. The reason why I think this is because of the amnesia plot. Why have a group of kids not being aware of anything about themselves right off the bat? They'd be learning what they can about themselves in another world. With that said, MHA is not even in the background in that thinking (my thinking). I'm not saying you can't have MHA being the source of their powers (also because I don't know how you'd write this story up). It's because of what the others here have already said and I agree with them; I don't believe mentioning MHA will give you the freedom you'd want in your fantasy.

Thanks for the feedback! It doesn’t have to be MHA, that’s a good Idea. I still want to have their superpowers influenced and warped by the magic of the world so DND is probably not the best as no random magical happenings happen there. (just rambling at this point) That means I can still similarly move the story forward just drop the fan-fiction part XD. I already have a plan on where I want to start. I also know how I want to end it. There’s also a bunch of parts in between I have figured out I just need to add the final touches and actually write it.

Everyone already pointed it out, and I'm not sure I can add anything new. I will just say, at the end of the day you simply need to write it well, whatever it is.
I know it's fanfiction, but it would serve you better to approach the story as a new one, with characters readers are unfamiliar with. In which case, how you introduce the MHA characters and their powers will matter.
Also, you need more plot. They need to have aims and objectives, they need to have motives. And since you will be merging two different worlds, you need laws. What limitations will their powers have and why? How do they handle these limitations.
All in all, an ideas whether good or bad will only be worth the quality of writing.
