So, should the title of the story be written like this:

The Green-eyed Monster

Or:

The Green-Eyed Monster?

Not every word. There's a rule about not capitalizing prepositions with fewer than 4 letters. Unless it's the first or the last word of the title. Those two are always capitalized.

some fonts just capitalize every letter so in doubt choose that as stylistic cheat choice

The latter. Keep the title as eye-catching as you'd like. Capital letters, bold or italic font, and creative image that stands out from the crowd is how you attract attention to your work.
