This is kind of a trend. AoT, MHA, Promised Neverland, pretty much everything I read now gets a shitty ending. ? Maybe Chainsaw Man will be better...

So very underwhelming. And bringing nobara back is so spineless, it's like he wrote himself into a hole

If he just wrote "and than everyone died, Sukuna won" it would be better. (I haven't seen a single chapter of JJK)

Like what I read in some posts about this similarity...

Shounen manga readers nowadays are too hard to please with the endings.
Not really. The problem lies with authors who didn't learn mistakes of the past. I say this as someone who read, how much, I think around 30 modern shounens.

Well, maybe. In any case, I don't read manga and watch animes the way I used to do it before, so I'm not really invested.

Manga/Animes nowadays are too:

1) Edgy
2) Formulaic
3) Focused on pleasing fans (and sacrificing good narrative; though can't blame them coz money)
4) Literal Photocopy of the first successful story of that sub-genre...just change the gimmick a little bit to avoid comparisons.

And after preaching the truth, you speak it is fans' fault? Shame on you! P.S. I'm joking Hans, don't worry.

Honestly we need less slave harems and more over the top sex and violence like Elfen Lied or something.
Or Redo of a Healer. But a serious question, you've seen old animes? Ones from 90s, 2000s and early 2010s?

Wait, anotter animeme screwed up their ending? Is this a new trend?

Like how western game journalists are people that hate games or how current hollywood is (unintendedly) writing irredeamable peak villains only to place them on the wrong end of the narrative scale and use them as MCs?
