So after shoving my ego into a locker in the pits of my mind, I took some time to look at my writing one thing I remember in a review here was that it tough to read through, can't remember who said it but I have been improving atleast I hope so in writing more clear and consise sentences to not drag sentences on and would like honest opinions comparing my previous starter the nect chapter of my story and my revision to see if its a step in the right direction.
They're roughly fourhundred words each and they've woken up getting thorugh themselves and meeting a friend. Just so you know what to expect.

Muddy Boots Inn
The winter winds billowed outside, and the clouds parted, letting the sun’s light shine through. Martyn hummed, feeling two weights on his chest.
The panther kin, as usual, woke up first, a smile forming on his face as he peered down to see Amber lightly snoring and drooling on him with her mouth open and Jade curled up around his arm.
‘Just a moment longer,’ a sigh left him as he stared up at the ceiling, ‘nice and warm with two girls at my side, I could stay like this forever.’
Martyn liked the idea, but for someone of his kind to know true peace was to be strong enough to ward off troubles. And he wasn’t there yet. All this time of contentment with the girls made him frown.
‘Something’s coming, and I can’t tell what it’ll be.’
Jade rustled and with a cute yawn she sat up rubbing her eyes, “Mn, good morning,” she smiled kissing Martyn on the cheek. She glanced over to Amber, her face crushed, and she held back her laugh.
“Alright Amber wake up,” Martyn gently nudged Amber, she hummed, denying him and sinking further into his warmth.
Jade giggled, waking Amber up, “Ah, what is it?” Amber said, wiping the corner of her mouth.
“I didn’t know I was such a comfy bed for you.” Martyn teased, wiping off Amber’s excess drool.
Seeing that she quickly pieced together what had happened her cheeks flushed, he prodded Martyn, “It’s your fault.”
“Mn she’s right,” Jade nodded snuggling into him, “You're so warm and soft.”
“Alright that’s enough snuggling guys, come on, I’ve got work to do.”
They got up and went through their daily routine and after their warm breakfast, they geared up and headed to the space mage building where Donald waited at the front.
“Well, aren’t you a punctual one?” Donald smiled.
“I should be since you’ve given us early access once we’re done with this thing,” Martyn said, shaking hands with the dryad.
“I’ve got a quick question before we go,” Jade raised her hand.
Seeing the go-ahead, she continued.
“Do we need to wear our gear, I’ve been thinking about this since the monster wave won’t reach the city till tomorrow.”
“Fair questions, it’s a general estimation and some monsters usually the levelled ones travel faster, and it’s better to be safe than sorry. If there aren’t any more questions, then hang on.”
Donald snapped his fingers, a spell circle came to life beneath them, and they vanished from the front of the building.

Martyn hummed as the icy winds billowed outside, clouds parted, and sunlight shone through the window, feeling two bodies on him.
Martyn generally woke up first, smiling as he peered down at Amber lightly snoring and drooling on him and Jade curled up around his arm.
‘Just a moment longer,’ he sighed while staring at the ceiling, ‘nice and warm with two girls at my side, if time could just freeze.’
Martyn enjoyed the moment, but to know true peace was to be strong enough to ward off troubles which he wasn’t. Contentment made him frown.
‘I don’t know what’s coming for us.’
Jade rustled and with a cute yawn rose rubbing her eyes. “Good morning,” she kissed Martyn on the cheek. Amber held back a snort seeing Amber’s sleeping face.
“Alright Amber wake up,” Martyn gently nudged Amber, but denied him and sank further into his warmth.
Jade giggled at their play and a minute later Amber woke up.
“Ah, what’s wrong,” Amber said, wiping the corner of her mouth.

They got up and went through their daily routine including a big breakfast in the tavern before gearing up. A few minutes later the trio found Donald in front of the space mage building.
“Well, aren’t you a punctual lot?” Donald smiled.
“I should be since you’re letting us on the island before anyone else,” Martyn said, shaking hands with the dryad.
“Can I ask a question before we go?” Jade raised her hand.
Donald nodded and she continued.
“Do we need to wear our gear? The monster wave won’t reach the city till tomorrow.”
