So i posted a chapter for my fan-fic yesterday and i didn't see it on latest updates or new releases. I thought maybe because it's just the prologue or something so i wasn't really bothered. Today i posted the first chapter and it still didn't get shown on latest updates. I thought it was like on the forum where my own post doesn't show in new posts. So i logged in as a guest and i still don't see it on there, like how do i get visibility if people can only see my work by chance.

I'm not sure what the problem is; the story is on latest series and it's public. It's possible the anti-cheat system got triggered for some reason.

Was the chapter scheduled?

it's on latest release?. I can't see it on there for some reason. So the anti-cheat mechanism is to blame i thought something went wrong with the release

It seems like the prologue has been posted after the first chapter, which suggests that there was some confusion in scheduling ...

Which means you wouldn't see notification about the prologue when you posted the first chapter because back then it wasn't posted yet...

While the site actually remembers the time the prologue was submitted, not when it was released.

Yeah i added the first chapter before remembering i hadn't added the prologue. Will hope there isn't any more problems going forward.

Did you reorder them before they had a chance to appear on the front page?

I ran into the same issue once, and I missed the latest post on the first page because of it. Tony was kind enough to put the chapter on it after I opened a bug report thread.

It seems that if you post a chapter and reorder it BEFORE waiting for it to appear on the front page, it bugs the automation in some way, shape, or form. At least, that happened to me; reordering them before letting the system push them onto the front page was the issue.

Would you believe me if i tell you i don't actually know how to re-order it. I just posted the prologue first and prayed the system just did the rest itself. Also apparently according to @LilRora my work is currently on latest updates but personally i can't see it.

You go to the chapter overview and should be able to drag them around with the three bar element on the left of each chapter.
