Is there a pulp-fiction-esque story on this site?

I really love pulp fictions of the old time. You know, the fiction that’s not deep and just purely entertainment and nothing else. It’s fun, fast-paced, entertaining, very easy to digest, and just full of wonders!

So, do you know any novel on this site that has a pulp fiction writing style? Please recommend. Thanks in advance~ ??

Whats the difference between what you described and slice of life? Just curious. :blob_cookie:

Oh boy, there are a lot of differences.

Slice of life;
- not focusing on plot.
- Usually slow-paced.
- The settings are usually just like in our everyday life.
- Usually has a calm and easygoing atmosphere with not much conflicts.

Pulp Fiction;
- Plot-focused.
- Very fast-paced.
- The setting is usually fantastical, though depend on the genres.
- Written as a pure entertainment and to excite you, so there are tons of conflicts and excitement. (Conflicts are mostly external as pulp fictions don’t focus on emotional connection with the characters much)

Ah so a dark ghost story can count where the characters are trying not to get their soul devoured by a revnant? :o

So anything action packed, but not deep deep stuff. Got it. :D

Thanks for the infobit. :D

None of this is Pulp Fiction. The entire list is just slice of life.

Feel free to take a look at my pulp-fiction murder mystery.

I just checked out Weird Shift, and I think the writing style and the pacing is very pulp-fiction-esque. Definitely what I’m looking for! Thanks~
